Romantic Garden Wedding at Worthington For Events in Ellenton, Florida

Shelby and Curtis’s wedding paired soft, romantic florals with the venue’s naturally beautiful outdoor setting.

For their floral design, we worked with a timeless palette of ivory, soft blush and muted mauve, layered with abundant greenery and delicate textural blooms. The result felt romantic and elegant without being overly formal—perfect against the warm wood tones, sprawling oak trees and natural Florida landscape surrounding the venue.

The ceremony took place beneath one of Worthington’s incredible oak trees, with the water and greenery creating a beautiful natural backdrop.

Rather than compete with the setting, the ceremony florals were designed to feel like an extension of it. A geometric wooden arbor was covered asymmetrically with lush greenery, ivory and blush flowers, creating an organic installation that framed Shelby and Curtis while still allowing the scenery behind them to shine through.

The loose, trailing greenery gave the arbor movement and softness, while garden roses and delicate white blooms brought just enough romance to the design.

Shelby’s bouquet carried the same organic garden style throughout the day, combining soft ivory and blush blooms with layers of greenery and texture. Her bridesmaids carried coordinating bouquets against dusty mauve dresses, creating a muted, romantic color palette that felt especially beautiful in the outdoor setting.

Even the smaller floral details followed the same design—from Curtis’s boutonnière to the floral accents throughout the ceremony and reception. Inside the reception, the flowers became a little more intimate while maintaining the same natural aesthetic.

Low floral centerpieces filled with ivory and blush blooms were surrounded by lush greenery, creating full, garden-inspired arrangements that allowed guests to easily see and talk across the tables. Paired with warm lighting, white linens and mauve details, the florals brought softness to the venue's rustic interior.

The entire wedding felt cohesive without feeling overly coordinated—a blend of romantic flowers, natural textures and understated color that suited Worthington For Events beautifully. We love designing weddings where the flowers work with the venue rather than against it, and Shelby and Curtis's celebration was a perfect example.
